Although a valuation is undertaken by the bank to secure their mortgage this does not necessarily protect you as a purchaser and it is recommended that you have this carried out when purchasing a property .An Independent valuation by a qualified Chartered Surveyor for purchase can take the form of a basic report or a full RICS Homebuyer’s Report which can only be carried out by a qualified surveyor such as ourselves. An investment of a few hundred pounds in a surveyor at this stage can prevent or avoid problems which may eventually cost the purchaser several thousand pounds.
